Although the present partners Faisal Kamal and Arshad Hussain Khan formed this firm M/s. Faisal Kamal & Arshad Hussain Advocates in 2002, however, its history can be traced back to the early 50s when Mr. Khalid M. Ishaque (late), a most eminent jurist of international repute established his law chambers under the name and style of Khalid M. Ishaque & Co. Advocates, in Karachi, Pakistan.

M/s Khalid M. Ishaque & Co. Advocates have over the decades played a pivotal role in the development of a plethora of common law and constitutionalism in Pakistan. A significant number of renowned lawyers and judges of the superior courts in Pakistan have been associated with this chamber.

Upon the retirement of Mr. Khalid M. Ishaque from active legal practice, the partners of the present firm, who were also associated with his law chamber, inherited the infrastructure, staff, cases and clients of Khalid M. Ishaque & Co.

The present firm, Faisal Kamal & Arshad Hussain Advocates, has not only carried on with the work of the original chamber but has expanded its activities to a great extent. The firm’s strength comprises of eight lawyers and twelve support staff including para legal and researchers. It has reciprocal arrangements in the shape of correspondent offices in all major cities of Pakistan as well as with Zahir Razzak & Co. a Malaysian law firm based in Kuala Lumpur and Al-Majid Legal Consultants- law firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
